Scott is a Director of Burgess Legal, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role. He holds a double degree in Law and Criminology from Western Sydney University, demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence and a strong foundation in legal principles and practical legal experience.
During his studies, Scott sought to broaden his understanding of legal systems and cultures by participating in a semester abroad at Keele University in the UK and a Study Tour to Shanghai University in China. These experiences provided him with unique insights into international law and cross -cultural perspectives.
Upon completing his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law, Scott joined Burgess Legal, where he has been working in the areas of family law, conveyancing, and wills & estates.
His dedication to continuous learning and development is evident in his recent commencement of a Master of Laws (Applied Law) program, majoring in family law and wills & estates.
In family law Scott’s work experience ranges from both property and parenting matters, divorce, financial agreements and reaching agreements through negotiation, mediation, and Court process.
In addition to family law Scott’s other areas of practice revolve around other matters of concern for families, namely, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Enduring Guardians, Estate Planning, Conveyancing, Probate and the administration of deceased estates, and acting in disputed estates and family provision claims.
Scott’s friendly and approachable demeanour has made him a popular figure among his colleagues and clients alike. He is known for his ability to build rapport with clients, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident in their legal matters. His seamless integration into the Burgess Legal team reflects his collaborative spirit and willingness to go above and beyond to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients at minimum costs.
